A composite of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs)-iron oxide (JO) Nanoparticles have been produced successfully by two-step pulsed laser ablation in liquid process. The vibration bond, structural, morphology, chemical composition, and optical properties were investigated using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy Dispersive spectrum (EDS), UV-vis spectrophotometer and PL Spectrofluorometer. The result of FTIR spectra exhibit the presence of C C bond at 2150 cm(-1), and another bond at 1724 cm(-1) related to CNT-IO attachment. The XRD pattern observed the presence of carbon phase at 2 theta approximate to 26.6 degrees and 43 degrees, and different phases of IO NPs at 2 theta approximate to 24.14 degrees, 35.7 degrees, 43.88 degrees, 63 degrees and 76 degrees. EDS showed the presence of C, O, and Fe element in the nanocomposites. The TEM images exhibited the synthesized carbon nanotubes with diameters about (6-7) nm and (3-4) nm spherical iron oxide Nanoparticles, which aggregated helically around the carbon nanotubes. The absorption spectrum exhibited a shoulder peak between 260 and 320 nm, which correspond to pi ->pi* transition of the C=O band, and pi ->pi* electronic transition in a C=C band. Also found that the absorption spectra of the CNTs can be shifted to red by increasing the concentration of IO Nanoparticles from 20% to 43%. While the PL spectra have intensity at 597 nm decreased slightly when increasing the doping ratio of iron oxide Nanoparticles from 20% to 43%.
