Novel Mn2O3 hollow nanocones have been successfully prepared as a lithium ion batteries anode material by a hydrothermal then annealing process, which exhibited a high specific capacity of similar to 900 mA h g(-1) at 50 mA g(-1) with intriguing rate performance and cycling stability.
