Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) dye was facilely incorporated into poly(stearyl methacrylate-co-poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate) copolymers leading to the formation of PEGylated AIE-based fluorescent organic nanoparticles (FONs). The utilization of such FONs for cell imaging applications was further explored.
