Glycerol ingrained copper: an efficient recyclable catalyst for the N-arylation of amines with aryl halides

A copper-catalyzed coupling reaction of aryl halides with various aromatic and cyclic amines by using glycerol as a green recyclable solvent has been developed efficiently. The glycerol embedded copper catalyst could readily be separated from the reaction mixture and reused for several runs without any loss in catalytic efficiency. (c) 2013 Elsevier Ltd.
