Original TDAE application: synthesis of 2-substituted-4,11-dimethoxy-anthra-[2,3-b]furan-5,10-diones via intramolecular Buchwald reaction

We report herein an original and rapid synthesis of 2-substituted-4,11-dimethoxy-anthra[2,3-b]furan-5,10-diones by TDAE strategy followed by Palladium-catalyzed cyclo-etherification reaction. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
