Luminescence of Zn4In2O7 nanobelts and microplates synthesized by a thermal evaporation-deposition method, has been investigated by photoluminescence (PL) and cathodoluminescence (CL) in the scanning electron microscope (SEM). Time resolved and temperature dependent CL measurements show that an emission at 2.37 eV appears to be characteristic of the Indium-Zinc-Oxide (IZO) compound investigated.
