Thermoresponsive polydiacetylenes derived from ethylene oxide-containing bisdiacetylenes were synthesized. Thermochromic assays showed bis-polydiacetylenes have the colorimetrically reversible properties in the range of 40 degrees C and 60 degrees C in solution as well as in embedded PVA film. Interestingly, bis-polydiacetylenes(PDAs)-embedded electrospun fibers prepared from PEO backbone displayed much wider temperature range of the colorimetric response with reversibility between 40 degrees C and 80 degrees C.
