Ti-Fe-Sn nanoeutectic-hexagonal structured dendrite composites are prepared by arc melting and cold-crucible casting. The presence of micrometer-size hexagonal (D0(19)) dendrites in the nanostructured lamellar matrix increases the strain-hardening exponent (n) from n = 0.068 for homogeneous eutectic to n = 1.64 for composites. Formation of profuse slip bands in the hexagonal dendrites/nanoeutectic phases indicates that dislocation-slip is the dominant deformation mechanism in these micro-nanophases.
