Simulation of interaction between two counter-propagating streamers

The results of the simulation of two streamers propagating toward each other inside a helium jet are presented. For the calculation of streamer dynamics a model is used that assumes the streamer radius to be constant along the streamer length. It is shown that streamer interaction can result in the formation of various spatial profiles of plasma parameters.
