In this paper, we present an accurate numerical method for solving fractional Hodgkin-Huxley model. A non-standard finite difference method (NSFDM) is implemented to study the dynamic behaviors of the proposed model. The Grunwald-Letinkov definition is used to approximate the fractional derivatives. Numerical results are presented graphically reveal that NSFDM is easy to implement, effective and convenient for solving the proposed model. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
