Excited states in 115Pd populated in the β- decay of 115Rh

Excited states in Pd-115, populated following the beta(-) decay of Rh-115 have been studied by means of gamma spectroscopy after the Penning-trap station at the IGISOL facility, University of Jyvaskyla. The 1/2(+) spin and parity assignment of the ground state of Pd-115, confirmed in this work, may indicate a transition to an oblate shape in Pd isotopes at high neutron number.
