This work is devoted to the influence of some impurities on the phosphogypsum during the manufacture of wet process phosphoric acid by the sulfuric acid. This process produces phosphoric acid and calcium sulfate that contain impurities such as copper, zinc, and cadmium, which constitute an obstacle when their content exceeds the recommended maximum threshold. The remove these impurities totally or partially, the contribution of chemometrics is compulsory. The methodology is based on the modeling and optimization in order to carry out the optimum of the production of a pure phosphoric acid. To achieve this, we have determined the influent factors like the pH and the temperature.
