Luminescence properties of LaPO4-Eu nanoparticles synthesized in the presence of surface active oligoperoxide as template

The LaPO4-Eu nanoparticles were synthesized by the template method using the surface active oligoperoxides. Size and morphology characteristics of the LaPO4-Eu nanoparticles were studied using X-ray, TEM and luminescence spectroscopy analysis. The results of X-ray diffraction and luminescence data reveal the different (hexagonal or monoclinic) symmetry of the lattice for nanoparticles depending on the size (annealing temperature). The essential influence of near-surface layer on luminescence decay kinetics is revealed. Crown Copyright (C) 2012 Published by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
