A new species of Lactarius (Russulales) from dry deciduous forest of West Bengal, India

Lactarius benghalensis, is described as a new species from dry deciduous forest of west Bengal. Morphological and molecular (nITS) sequence data assign the present species to L. subg. Plinthogali. In this present study a macro- and micro-morphological description, photographs and comparisons with morphologically similar and phylogenetically related species are provided.
