GdxZryTizCe1-x-y-zO2 solid solutions with a crystallite size of 5-10 nm have been prepared by the sonochemical method from inorganic salts. Ceria-based materials exhibited a mesoporous structure with diameter of 2-10 nm. The activity of the solid solution in the oxidation of carbon monoxide is determined by the flow method within a temperature range of 20-500 degrees C at atmospheric pressure for the following gas mixture composition, vol.%: CO - 4.2; O-2 - 9.6; N-2 - balance or CO - 1.8; CH4 - 1.6; O-2 - 9.6; N-2 - balance. It was shown that the temperature of full conversion of CO was 250-270 degrees C for CO-O-2-N-2 mixture and 380-420 degrees C for CO-CH4-O-2-N-2 mixture without methane oxidation.
