A new species, Entoloma vittalii (sect. Cyanula, subg. Leptonia, Entolomataceae), collected from paleotropical regions of the Uppangala forest, Western Ghats, Karnataka, is described and illustrated. Macro- and microscopic differences and similarities are compared with closely related taxa.
