One-Pot Synthesis of 2-Phenylimidazo[1,2-α]pyridines from Acetophenone, [Bmim]Br3 and 2-Aminopyridine under Solvent-Free Conditions

One-pot synthesis of 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-alpha]pyridines from acetophenone, [Bmim]Br-3 and 2-aminopyridine under solvent-free conditions in the presence of Na2CO3, gave the corresponding 2-phenylimidazo[1,2-alpha]pyridines in excellent yields ranging from 72% to 89%.
