Synthesis and complexation properties of 1,3-alternate stereoisomers of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arenes tetrasubstituted at the lower rim by the phthalimide group

Thiacalix[4]arenes containing the phthalimide group were synthesized and their extraction ability toward monocharged cations (alkali metals and Ag(+)) was investigated.
