Calculation of the S-N curve for cast aluminium alloys based on static tensile test and dendrite arm spacing

A fatigue life model based on fracture mechanics was developed in order to calculate the S-N curve for cast aluminium alloys due to the characteristic static tensile test values (0,2 % yield strength, tensile strength, elastic modulus) and to the secondary dendrite arm spacing of the casting structure.
