The Ni-P coatings were deposited on closed-cell aluminum foams substrate by electroless process. Electroless coatings cover the entire surface of the foams (thickness similar to 30 mu m) with a high corrosion resistance (corrosion current density 15.5 mu A/cm(2), as compared to the 308.8 mu A/cm(2) of as-received aluminum foams).
