High-quality and high-yield nano-crystalline antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) was successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal treatment in aqueous solution at 100 degrees C, by using antimony chloride (SbCl3) and thioglycolic acid (TGA) as starting reagents. The samples obtained were characterized by FT-IR, PL, SEM, EDX and XRD. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
