LiH and Ti-doped At react quantitatively with H-2 in Me2O solution to form LiAlH4 under mild conditions. The solvent is easily vented along with excess H-2 on completion, leaving dry Ti-doped LiAlH4; this releases similar to 7 wt % H-2 commencing at 80 degrees C with excellent kinetics.
