Electric dipole transition probabilities and lifetimes had been computed for low-lying transitions in some members of Yb+ isoelectronic sequence with the relativistic Dirac-Fock method. The core-valence electron correlation was accounted for within the single-configuration approximation through semiclassical core-polarization picture employing both theoretical and adjusted values of static core polarizability. The advantage of using the adjustable static core polarizability in the case of transitions involving perturbed states is discussed.
