Chemical routes to chalcogenide materials as thin films or particles with critical dimensions with the order of nanometres

Chalcogenides are an important class of semiconducting materials with applications and potential for application in many areas of technology. The availability of materials often depends on the processing methodologies available. The present article will focus on methods from single molecule precursors for binary chalcogenides of the first transition series together with those of zinc or cadmium.
