Micromagnetic modeling of magnoise in magnetoresistive read sensors

Practical methods for micromagnetic modeling of broadband magnetic thermal. fluctuation noise in magnetoresistive CPP read sensors/heads are described using a matrix form of the linearized Gilbert equations. The scaling of magnetic signal/noise vs. device size and geometry is considered in detail, as are the individual normal-mode. fluctuations of free and reference layers.
