Components of the essential oil from Adenophora triphylla var. japonica

The chemical composition of the essential oil from Adenophora triphylla var. japonica has been investigated by GC and GUMS. As a result, 82 volatile components were detected, which contained three insect pheromones, (Z,Z,Z)-1,3,6,9-heneicosatetraene (3.6%), (Z,Z,Z)-3,6,9-heneicosatriene (2.8%) and (Z,Z)-6,9-heneicosadiene (1.8%) as characteristic compounds, of the oil.
