We report a simple and one-step method of generating gold nanoparticles stabilized directly with fullerenes C-60 and [6,6]-phenyl-C-61-butyric acid (PCBA) that led to C-60-AuNPs (1) and PCBA-AuNPs (2), respectively. The C-60-AuNPs (1) and PCBA-AuNPs (2) were characterized with UV-vis, FTIR, DLS, zeta potential, XRD, TEM, and AFM.
