We have studied the phase transitions, composition, morphology, and photocatalytic activity of titanium oxyhydroxide modified with phosphate ions in the course of low-temperature hydrolysis. The presence of phosphate ions in the structure of titania enhances the thermal stability and photocatalytic activity of nanocrystalline anatase, which remains stable up to at least 1000 degrees.
