The synthesis and characterization of the new bis-o-amidophenolate gallium(III) complex are reported. This compound was found to be reactive towards allyl halides at room temperature. The addition of two allyl halide molecules to the original complex accompanied with two new C-C bonds formation has been observed. The structures of the products obtained were confirmed by H-1 NMR and X-ray diffraction analysis. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
