Hot compression tests of GH4698 alloy, a kind of Nickel alloy, were conducted by controlling the temperature and strain rate within a certain range. The true stress-strain curves of the alloy can be obtained under the certain conditions. The results show that the flow stress of the alloy is closely related to deformation temperature and strain rate. Peak stress occurs under the condition of small strain. Recovery and recrystallization softening phenomena of the alloy occur with the increase of strain. The constitutive modeling based on strain, strain rate and temperature is established through the analysis of the true stress-strain curves. The comparison between calculated values and experimental values based on the constitutive modeling shows that constitutive modeling established is suitable. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd.
