海报摘要

The study assessed the impact of land use and land cover changes on groundwater quality in the Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The findings revealed that abrupt changes in settlement growth and vegetation decreases negatively affected groundwater quality. The study found that built-up areas, open land, and vegetation cover have increased, indicating that groundwater chemical components have crossed WHO's permissible limits.
