It took approximately 20 months from writing the initial draft to final acceptance, including two rounds of revisions (12 months for the first round and 5 months for the second round). The reviewers asked detailed questions, but overall, the experience of submitting the manuscript was good. The only issue was the excessively long review time, which is difficult for non-PhD students to endure. It is easy to reach the point of graduation without being accepted after almost 2 years. I submitted the initial draft when I was a senior undergraduate student, and I received the acceptance only after I had already started my graduate studies, including the gap caused by the 2020 pandemic. However, this writing experience should also be helpful for my application to top 15 North American universities. Early access allows for quick publication, and the article was published within around 10 days, which can be considered as compensation for the lengthy review process.

I just received the final acceptance notice from TNNLS the night before yesterday. It is my first published paper in the IEEE Transactions series. It was submitted in May 2020 and went through three major revisions, with new reviewers' comments added each time. In August 2021, I received the acceptance notice, taking a total of 15 months.
