This journal is really problematic. No wonder my classmates from Tsinghua University say it's a garbage journal that plays favoritism and self-citation. In my experience, after submitting my paper, it stayed in the status of "inviting reviewers" for 2 months (couldn't find reviewers and couldn't withdraw the submission). I had no idea what was going on. Later, I found out that the editor had been neglecting it. After sending two reminder emails, it finally went for review. It took 4 and a half months to receive the first review. The reviewers' comments were mostly positive and neutral, which, based on my experience with this journal, usually means minor revisions. So why was it directly rejected? In the email, they said I could revise and resubmit. Who taught them the habit of rejecting and then asking to resubmit? I don't understand.
