As a geology Ph.D., I published an engineering and technology article. The process was tough, and I am well aware of the hardships and joys.

The article is innovative but falls short of my writing level. It was my first time submitting for review, and it was rejected by three reviewers. They provided a lot of feedback, mainly suggesting that the article was novel and had good results, but it was written too simply and did not highlight the key points.

The editor gave me a chance to revise and resubmit. Under the guidance of my advisor, I made significant revisions, focusing on improving the quality of the content, highlighting the innovative aspects, refining the language, adding more discussions, and modifying the conclusion.

I submitted the revised version around January 27th for the second time. It was accepted with minor revisions and was finally accepted on April 26th, and published online on May 2nd. The whole process took less than four months. It was quite fast. I wish everyone good luck, especially for those who are submitting for the first time. Writing skills are crucial.
