I rejected the suggestion to transfer to JHM and chose this instead. It was accepted in just over a month. Although this journal is not currently categorized, it is still a subsidiary of EST. I believe it will improve in the future, so let's consider it as occupying a spot for now.

ACS EST water is a responsible journal with a rigorous review process. I believe it is a good journal. I submitted an article in May, and it took 40 days for the first review. There were five reviewers who had a strict attitude. After revision, there was a second review.

As the leader in the field of environment, EST is a sister publication. Professor Yang Min, the Deputy Director of the Ecological Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (a candidate for the 2021 academician nomination), is expected to have an impact factor (IF) in 2023, with a journal positioning and WR (weighted ranking) at the same level, and the first IF is estimated to be above 9.0.

There are two reviewers, with the first review taking one month, the second review taking half a month, and acceptance within 5 days after the third review.
