I have been regularly reading the experience sharing of the experts on letpub since the beginning of my submission. I would also like to share my first submission experience during my graduate studies.

March 30th - Submitted
March 31st - With editor
April 11th - Under review
April 24th - Required reviews completed
April 24th - Dip
May 8th - Revision (with over 30 modification suggestions, requiring additional experiments, and only given 20 days)
May 28th - Submitted the revised manuscript on the last day of the deadline (it took half of my life, working on it every day)
May 29th - First reviewer completed
June 1st - Second reviewer completed
June 3rd - Required reviews completed
June 5th - Suddenly changed to dip
June 5th - Accepted

Lacking experience in the first paper submission resulted in the need to make many additions during the major revision, almost missing the final deadline. I am truly grateful for the fast review by the reviewers and the recognition of my academic work for over a year by the editor.

I would like to ask if there is a LaTeX template for the journal Expert Systems with Applications. I have been searching for a long time but couldn't find it because I need to modify the reference format. I am using the bib file with the general template from Elsevier, specifically the elsarticle-harv.bst, but the reference format it produces is different from the one used in ESWA. In the ESWA reference format, the last two authors are separated by an "&" symbol and the year is enclosed in parentheses. However, the elsarticle-harv.bst cannot produce this format and it also does not display the "number" option in the bib file. I have been trying for a long time but still don't know how to achieve the ESWA format, and I cannot find an official template.

Submitted on August 31, 2022, followed up after more than a month, and sent for review. In February, received feedback for revisions. The opinions provided by the three experts were all quite good.
