From the field of colloid and interface science, I graduated with a requirement of a certain number of papers, so I didn't have time to submit to other journals. The journal has strict requirements for the number of figures and word count. The first time I submitted, I had 8 figures but failed the technical review. I reluctantly reduced it to 5, with most of them placed in the supplementary materials. The first review took about 20 days and involved 3 reviewers. I was given 45 days for major revisions, which I thought was reasonable. I returned before the deadline, and for the second review, there were still 3 reviewers, but there should have been a change in at least one of them. The second review took about 10 days, and it was accepted. The journal's efficiency is still high, with quick proofreading and publishing, which took only one or two days. I hope this journal will continue to improve and have more high-quality papers.

Received the first review comments on 5.28, with three reviewers. One recommended acceptance directly, while the other two raised minor issues. The editor provided major revision suggestions.
Revised on 6.12.
Returned due to formatting issues on 6.14 (exceeded 85 characters with spaces per sentence in the Highlights section, probably annoyed the boss).
Revised again and sent back on 6.16, reviewed.
Under review with editor on the same day, 6.17.
Accepted on 6.23, took a total of 2 months, relatively fast, thanks to Professor Zhou for their efficient handling speed.

Then there was a 48-day external review. The main issue was finding reviewers, and the status of the article changed many times during this time. The editor gave 45 days for revisions. After making the revisions, the revised version was uploaded at 12.00 noon, and around 3.00 pm it was with the editor.
