How to check who edited it?

小硕 2021-04-23

Hello, I feel confident about you. I would like to ask you, who is your editor?

Okay, thank you! Because my case is currently in the second review, it has been 18 days, and I feel anxious. Wish you good luck and wish me good luck too.

好运相伴 2021-04-20

Hello, the first article belongs to my teacher and is not related to me. The reviewer gave it a good evaluation with no comments. The final edits were given on January 5th and it was accepted on January 9th without any major revisions. I'm not sure about the extensive revisions. Good luck! Currently, my article is under review and I hope it gets accepted by this journal. It would be heartbreaking if it's rejected by the editor.

Even if you are not the corresponding author, you will still receive an email after the successful submission of the paper. After confirming your authorship, you can use this email to view the status of each stage of the paper. Of course, you can also choose to ignore this email.

志在远方 2021-04-20

Thank you! With the editor, it's always 12 days. It's truly a miraculous journal...

一之濑夜 2021-04-20

Thank you for further clarification. So, even if I am not the corresponding author, I will still receive an email after the corresponding author confirms, and will I be able to see the status of the manuscript through the email link confirmation, just like the corresponding author?

小硕 2021-04-20

After confirmation, the submission status will change and display as "submitted to journal - with editor - under review."

一之濑夜 2021-04-20

Thank you for your response. Since I have designated my supervisor as the corresponding author, he doesn't usually reply to emails. If I receive an email from him confirming the completion, then I will know if the submission is completed.

小硕 2021-04-20

Yes, but you only need to confirm it yourself.

一之濑夜 2021-04-20

Hello, I also want to consult. After the corresponding author of this journal confirms their agreement, will the other authors also receive a confirmation email?

小硕 2021-04-20

Hello, I would like to inquire if you are undergoing major repairs. If so, how long is your second review period?

好运相伴 2021-04-19

When I first submitted to this journal, it took 12 days with editor, and the editor was Eugenio del re.
When I submitted to this journal for the second time, it still took 12 days with editor, so I assume the editor is still the same Italian guy.

好运相伴 2021-04-19

It's been about 12 days, which is about the speed of this journal with the editor. I guess your editor is Eugenio del re too. Hahaha, wish you good luck.

志在远方 2021-04-19

with editor12 days

志在远方 2021-04-19

April 18 submitted for review, with editor for 12 days.

志在远方 2021-04-13

Go back to the third floor:
That adds up to about a month.
I recently graduated with a PhD. If you submit a manuscript, the journal may invite you to review it. In addition, many submission systems are now linked to OCRID numbers. After you publish an article, some journals will invite you to review based on your publication record, even if you haven't been published in that specific journal before. For example, I submitted to Results in Physics for the first time, but I have already reviewed about 10 articles for them. If you have reviews, they will also be recorded on Publons, and you will receive more invitations to review from other journals.
I'm not sure how many people on average review for this journal, but typically it's two people. Sometimes, if an editor invites you, and only one person provides valid comments, it might mean that only one person reviewed it.

optics 皮卡丘 2021-04-13

You are so good at reviewing papers. May I ask if you are a graduate student or a doctoral student?

好运相伴 2021-04-13

Did you also serve as a reviewer for this journal? Did the editor think that article was good and let you review it alone? How long did it take you to review that article?

好运相伴 2021-04-13

My first submission to the journal took 4 days, and with the editor, it took 12 days, so the initial review took a total of 16 days. The editor's name is Eugenio Del Re.

志在远方 2021-04-13

Not many open-access journals are as efficient as this one. It has been a week with my editor already. It's really a matter of luck. I have seen those who submit revised manuscripts within a month, so it's safe to say that they must have also been sent for review within 10 days.
What's even more ironic is that during this period, I also reviewed a paper for this journal, only to find out that I was the only reviewer.

Wangnardo 2021-04-12

I submitted an article in January and it took over three weeks with the editor. The reviewer took more than 20 days to review and requested a resubmission. However, the editor rejected it...
In March, I submitted another article and it has been in the status of external review ever since. Sigh, even open-access journals are this slow.

好运相伴 2021-04-12

Anyway, I feel that this journal is a bit peculiar. The initial review process is quite slow. The time taken for "submitted to journal" and "with editor" is almost as long as the external review. There are not enough editing personnel, they should add more. It's too slow and inefficient. It's not common for the initial review to take such a long time.

忆一怡 2021-04-12

Could it be that it's just the legendary bad luck? It has been a week since submission, and it is still "submitted to journal." What's going on?

Latest news ahead:

Thank you for the reply above! Submitted on 04.01, still with the editor until now (04.06). Based on the system processing, it seems that not all authors need to confirm the submission. Looking at the related articles published by this journal online, some were submitted for revisions within a month, while others took longer with two submissions. So it seems that the efficiency of the editors varies greatly. I guess we encountered an editor with relatively low efficiency [bitter smile]. There is nothing wrong with submitting, it's just a matter of luck.

好运相伴 2021-04-11

Come on, everyone, let's talk about how long it took for our articles with the editor and peer review.

晴岚的希望 2021-04-07

Not all authors need to confirm. The initial review of this journal is indeed quite slow, sometimes it can be described as turtle speed. When my teacher first submitted to this journal, it took half a month with the editor. Can you believe it? I guess the number of submissions is quite high and the editor is busy, so it's a matter of luck.

忆一怡 2021-04-06

Same question, do all authors need to confirm (do they need to register an account?)
