XNova, it must be hard for you to watch others' articles getting accepted while feeling unhappy. Since you have been rejected, don't waste your time commenting online and being jealous of others. My submission experience tells me that this journal is not good enough. If you have been rejected three times by TIM and then rejected by Access, what should you do? If you think there might be an issue with your own abilities, it's better to hold off on submitting for now.

XNova 2021-01-13

I've already said that it's not embarrassing for students to share this in order to graduate, but if you insist on blaming yourself, I can't do anything about it. You come here and complain without even looking at my statement. I suggest you be more calm. This is my last response, just a waste of time.

When calculating publishing fees, both OA costs and subscription fees should be included. Although subscription fees are not paid by the authors but by institutions, they are still money spent by the Chinese people. Some publishing companies dare to charge hundreds of dollars for downloading an article. Let's see how much money these publishing companies have made.

I really hope to meet a pro one day, who can thoroughly review my articles and provide constructive feedback based on fairness and objectivity. You didn't say I couldn't submit them, but because of such information overload, my advisor won't let me graduate anymore. He keeps finding reasons to extend my study. I just want to graduate, regardless of the tier or ranking!

xixi123456 2021-01-12

Say it one more time, I paid for it myself. Do you think the supervisor will pay from the research funds?! I also burst out laughing!

xixi123456 2021-01-12

Never complained about heaven or blamed others, until my mentor rejected my article by asking a acquaintance to do so in order to delay my graduation. It was a journal that only accepts commissioned articles from the fourth district (I did not commission it, I submitted it myself!). Achieving top ranking in the second district is impossible because in my mind, Information System is not just top, but superior to top. There is definitely regret, but for us research novices, mentors are yet another obstacle. Open source is relatively fair! I really hope everyone can be kind and stop criticizing. Currently, I need to fulfill the graduation requirements of three articles, and my mentor still wants me to publish high-quality papers. It's worth noting that I am the only one submitting, and my mentor's ORCID number is blank! I don't know if others are publishing mediocre work, but my articles are truly the result of my year-long efforts. I really wish for a fair platform, where I can at least publish a non-open source article in the third district.

Hello, may I ask how is your current progress? Have you received the revised suggestions?

ZLING 2021-01-12

Can you please send me the format for responding to the review comments privately? I am not familiar with submitting papers for the first time, so if you can see this, please kindly help. Thank you very much.

Now that I am on the warning list, I hope the school won't disapprove of me...

XNova 2021-01-12

Indeed, previously it was based on a yearly basis. Now, if everything goes smoothly, it will take approximately four to five months.

XNova 2021-01-12

How much can you get by invitation? According to what you said, top journals like IEEE should be much easier to publish in compared to IEEE Access. Then I will have to write a letter of complaint to IEEE and ask them when they will turn IEEE Access into a prestigious journal. Look at how other transactions have become so watered down, and yet my Access is still like a white lotus? I advise you to give up on the idea that others only publish in top journals through invitations from influential researchers. It definitely happens, but I still believe that 1) you can judge for yourself whether the articles in top journals are good or not, and some people just publish without reading them. 2) Give up on this blaming others and feeling resentful mindset.

XNova 2021-01-12

I am currently a student and also studying late into the night for graduation. This journal has no relevance to me whatsoever. I have never submitted to this journal before and cannot say for certain whether I will in the future. I simply cannot stand it when some people embarrass themselves without even realizing it. If I were to submit to this journal, my evaluation would only be that it's just for the sake of graduation, and the quality is subjective. I would not confidently say things that are confusing to others, such as "it's still top-ranked" or "it's in the second tier of the Chinese Academy of Sciences".

XNova 2021-01-12

It really made everyone laugh out loud. Didn't I say you can't post it? You should know your own level. Does it make sense to drive out the good and keep the bad? The best joke of the year. Am I stupid to think so? I've already said that students can post in order to graduate, it's not embarrassing. Can't we have a safety net to ensure graduation? Does it make sense for the research group to spend a large amount of money just to buy publication fees? Will anyone invest in a good idea? Will you? Will you? I hope you have the same confidence when debating this topic with experts.

After the emergence of open-source journals, the review speed of traditional journals has greatly improved. Who are the experts to research how much money publishers like Elsevier and Springer have made in China, and how much money open-source journals have made in China? In any case, they are all pigs waiting to be slaughtered by others. Therefore, as consumers, we should actively create a competitive environment for publishers.

xixi123456 2021-01-12

Do you need face to ask for contributions? In the industry, top journals still have mutual deep connections between acquaintances. Do you need face to ask for contributions? As long as you have a powerful boss who doesn't care about face, you can even get published in the prestigious journals you mentioned. If things go well, you might even benefit even more!

xixi123456 2021-01-12

Are those who criticize this journal also victims of the "Who Moved My Cheese" phenomenon?

xixi123456 2021-01-12

Just because some self-righteous people are criticizing open-access journals, many students are delayed by their mentors on the grounds that open-access journals have low standards. If you are researching a difficult direction, if you have no resources or connections, if your mentor does not guide you, if your team has no influence, and if you have to act as a whole team by yourself, and you are still in your thirties while pursuing a doctorate, facing family difficulties, would you still have the leisure to talk about this nonsense?! For such a Ph.D. candidate, even if they spend a year working hard and tearfully writing an original article with theoretical innovation, may I ask which journal they can submit it to? We all know the inside story of invited submissions, is it necessary to be even more unbearable without open access? Which top journal in the industry does not require mentor influence?!

XNova 2021-01-12

It is not very appropriate to say. All colleagues from the research units should still cherish their own reputation. Let's encourage each other.

XNova 2021-01-12

Are those who defend this journal all stakeholders? I haven't submitted to this journal before. Even though my paper has been rejected by TIM three times in a row, I didn't consider giving up and submitting to this journal just to graduate. Honestly, if I have a good idea, would I submit to this journal? Students may secretly submit just to graduate, which is not embarrassing, but they shouldn't flaunt it. Research institutions should ask themselves before submitting to this journal, do they have any shame?

小顺治 2021-01-12

Definitely TOP, up to a certain 211 university, the annual number of publications has reached 97, and this is not even TOP. What a great journal, only top scholars can publish in it.

小顺治 2021-01-12

This journal generally takes 15-20 days to accept submissions. As of now, a certain 211 university has already had 97 articles accepted by this journal. You can check how many articles from "Transportation Research Part D" can be retrieved on Web of Science in a year. If you publish in this journal, you can barely graduate, but if you want to talk about glory, you are just using the country's money to publish this instead of using it for poverty alleviation. It is a pseudo-academic journal. I have not submitted to this journal.

hky 2021-01-12

Still the same sentence, can we find a journal that is both top-ranked and has an early warning system? Why is there only Access? Is it a problem with the top ranking or the early warning system? If we need to change our understanding of a certain evaluation criteria, why do you only mention top ranking and not the list of early warning?

hky 2021-01-12

It is obvious that neither Clarivate Analytics nor major universities themselves have warnings, only the Chinese Academy of Sciences does. Surprisingly, the well-known journals S.R. and Plos One, which are on all the warning lists, are not on the list of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Such a list is less trustworthy than the top list.

snbsh 2021-01-12

In the warning list of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the same document includes journal names written in both uppercase and lowercase letters, which is not considered serious from the perspective of the document. Furthermore, it is hoped that the Chinese Academy of Sciences will publicly disclose the threshold, methods, and process of this evaluation.

Continuing from the previous point, according to this rule, 2nd-tier journals with a large publication volume must be considered top. However, in reality, being a top 2nd-tier journal does not necessarily mean it is highly influential. Even in terms of impact factor, some journals with a large publication volume may have just moved up to the 2nd-tier and are far from being considered as having impact factors close to those in the 1st-tier or being recognized as additional top journals by peers.

oceanography 2021-01-11

Stop arguing, the announcement of the partition table has long stated the selection criteria for top journals:
In order to select more outstanding journals based on the partition method, we have set up Top journals in the major categories of the partition table.

The selection method for Top journals is as follows: include the journals in Zone 1 in the Top range; include the journals in Zone 2 whose 2-year total citation frequency indicator is in the top 10%.

In 2015, there were some changes to the definition principles of Top journals, with the addition of considerations for peer review based on the aforementioned quantitative measurement rules. For a small number of journals that are not included in the range of Top journals determined by the quantitative methods mentioned above, they are directly included in the Top journals after being evaluated by the scientific community and considered to have high academic influence.

135467841321 2021-01-11

Top is determined based on the IF, and the partition is also determined accordingly. The main issue with the alarm is that the proportion of Chinese people's investments is too high, reaching about 50-60%. In reality, there is no conflict.

海阔天空1314 2021-01-09

This journal is becoming slower and more difficult. I have been rejected for a total of 6 months, one after another!
