The deputy editor took about a week to allocate, and it took about two months to find the academic editor, and then about a month for the review process.

Received the first round of review comments, one reviewer provided 5 comments targeting the pain points of the article. It took about a week to make the changes and write a response of about ten pages.

August 25, 2022
Submitted the revised manuscript, entered the pending approval stage the next day, probably because the reviewer's comments were returned. Later checked and found that the reviewer's comments were returned on the 26th, and the editor made the acceptance decision on the 28th.

Received notification of accepted article, need to submit a PDF version with images, paid $2500, it is really expensive.

During the submission period, I read many comments and opinions from others. Now that my paper can be indexed, I would like to share my experience for reference only.

I submitted the paper at the end of August 2020. It was not for a special issue (usually special issues are faster, but I had no experience with submitting before). The first-round review took a long time, and I had lost hope. However, in mid-February 2021, I suddenly received a request for revision from one reviewer. The comments were sincere, so I spent 10 days carefully making revisions during the Chinese New Year period. The second-round review took only one week, and I received the acceptance result. It took about one and a half months for the paper to be searchable after its online first publication, which coincided with my graduation.
