Reviews of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology publishes reviews pertaining to the sources, transport, fate and effects of contaminants in the environment. The journal provides a place for the publication of critical reviews of the current knowledge and understanding of environmental sciences in order to provide insight into contaminant pathways, fate and behavior in environmental compartments and the possible consequences of their presence, with multidisciplinary contributions from the fields of analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, ecology, molecular and cellular biology (in an environmental context), and human, wildlife and environmental toxicology.

After the submission is edited, it takes about 3 days under review, and 35 days to receive the reviewer's comments, which are major revisions.
The opinions of over 10 reviewers are very professional and detailed. After making revisions, there will be a minor review focusing on language modifications.
The revised manuscript will be accepted within a few days.
The long-established classic series has officially been transformed into a journal.
We hope that RECT will continue to grow and gain high recognition in the field.

The review speed is particularly fast, and it takes about 35 days to receive the review comments. There are just too many reviewers, more than one can imagine. The journal is currently growing and expanding, hoping that its reputation and influence will continue to improve.
