目标和范围

Maritime Engineering publishes technical papers relevant to civil engineering in port, estuarine, coastal and offshore environments.

Relevant to consulting, client and contracting engineers as well as researchers and academics, the journal focuses on safe and sustainable engineering in the salt-water environment and comprises papers regarding management, planning, design, analysis, construction, operation, maintenance and applied research. The journal publishes papers and articles from industry and academia that conveys advanced research that those developing, designing or constructing schemes can begin to apply, as well as papers on good practices that others can learn from and utilise.

Finally replied to the review comments, the revised version was accepted, and the comments were relatively easy to address. It took 5 months to receive the initial review comments, and I'm not sure how long it will take to resubmit after revising the manuscript. I don't recommend submitting if you're in a hurry, as the publication output is quite low. In the beginning, I was ignorant and fearless when it came to submitting to this journal.

Everyone, be cautious before submitting. At first, I thought the impact factor was okay, as it is an established journal. However, they only accepted around 10 articles last year, which surprised me. I wish I knew earlier so I wouldn't have submitted. It took one month for the initial review, and now it has been 4 months with no response.
