Journal of Nondestructive Evaluation provides a forum for the broad range of scientific and engineering activities involved in developing a quantitative nondestructive evaluation (NDE) capability. This interdisciplinary journal publishes papers on the development of new equipment, analyses, and approaches to nondestructive measurements.

The overall speed of the journal is quite fast, and the editors are serious and responsible. After submission, there will be a change in status in about 1 week, and then it will be sent for review in about another week. The results will be available in about 1 month. After major revisions, it will take about 2 weeks for minor revisions. After minor revisions, it will take about another 2 weeks for acceptance. The total time from submission to acceptance is about 4 months.

The status of the invitation for editing has been maintained for two weeks. I read online comments and most of them said that it usually takes about a year to be hired. Unable to wait any longer, I decided to urge them a little. Soon after, the status changed to designated editor, but the next day I was rejected. I can now move on to the next opportunity more quickly.
