The Journal of Applied Geophysics with its key objective of responding to pertinent and timely needs, places particular emphasis on methodological developments and innovative applications of geophysical techniques for addressing environmental, engineering, and hydrological problems. Related topical research in exploration geophysics and in soil and rock physics is also covered by the Journal of Applied Geophysics.

In February, it was in "with editor" status all along. In April, an email was sent to urge the submission. In June, it was returned for revisions. In July, it was revised and remained in "with editor" status all along until it was sent for external review in September. In October, it was returned and accepted directly. There were two reviewers, and their comments were constructive. Overall, the feeling is still good, but the main delay was in the editing process.

I have been waiting for over half a year for the results of my submission. After a major revision, it has been nearly 4 months and the outcome is still unknown. Despite urging for an update, I only receive apologies without any results. I am getting anxious.
