目标和范围
The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (IJMS) is an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to greater scientific understanding of the main disciplines underpinning the mechanical, civil and material engineering sciences.

Original contributions providing insight into the use of analytical, computational (e.g. FEM, BEM, mesh-free methods and others) modelling methods for rigid-body mechanics (e.g. dynamics, vibration, stability), structural mechanics, metal forming, behaviour and application of advanced materials (metals, composite, cellular, smart etc.), impact mechanics, strain localization and other effects of nonlinearity (e.g. large deflections, plasticity, fracture etc.), fluid mechanics (external and internal flows), tribology, thermodynamics and materials processing generally form the core of the journal contents.

The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences does not accept for publication material which quite specifically belongs with other established specialist journals. Papers whose concern is primarily with mathematical or computational techniques, developed within a general framework and not aimed at any specific engineering application, are not requested. Similarly, papers whose content is purely descriptive or empirical and which do not make any scientific contribution, will not be considered. Comparison with experiments/tests conducted by the authors or others to validate the main contribution of the paper are strongly encouraged, however design-based studies, based on established formulae and methods, are outside our scope and should not be submitted to the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences.

The chief editor really said almost the same as what everyone said. If everyone is assigned to the chief editor, they can refer to what everyone said. I will also share my own thoughts with everyone.
5.1 Submission
5.1 The chief editor rejected it and sent an email requesting revision. The format is the same as what everyone said, so there is no need to say more. However, if you revise it well, it will take time and effort, but it will indeed improve the readability and overall level of the article.
5.20 Resubmission
5.21 Sent for review by the chief editor
7.29 Received reviewer's comments, requiring major revisions (because the reviewer took a long time, the chief editor had to remind twice before receiving the comments. This speed is not due to the journal being slow, but rather the problem with the reviewer). I feel hopeful that the chief editor provided the revisions, indicating that this journal is relatively recognized.
8.21 Submitted the revised manuscript
8.22 Sent for review
9.25 Review process completed (still delayed by the reviewer; approval for review was only given on 9.10, and the review process was completed on 9.25)
9.25 Accepted.

Submission timeline:
March 2nd: Submitted;
March 3rd: With editor;
March 5th: Under review;
April 13th: Major revision; two reviewers, each with three comments;
April 30th: Revised;
May 16th: Minor revision, agreed upon by both reviewers; editor raised some formatting issues;
May 30th: Submitted;
June 1st: Editor's feedback received; two formatting issues not addressed as requested, warned that failure to address them will result in rejection of the article;
June 6th: Modifications completed and submitted, with editor on the same day;
June 9th: Accepted;
Overall, the editorial process was relatively fast. The article requires attention to detail and should have some innovative points to support it. Additionally, formatting issues should be taken into consideration.
1- The title of the article should be within 10 words or less;
2- Commas or colons should be added in the formula section;
3- Homogeneous content images should be grouped together and arranged neatly;
4- The conclusion section should be written in paragraphs;
5- Each paragraph should start with a summary sentence;
6- Image formatting should follow the description in the previous post.
