The review process is quite fast, usually completed within a month. Once the manuscript is received by the editor, its status will change to "manuscript under consideration". After the editor submits it for review, they will send an email to the corresponding author. However, the status will not change until the review comments are returned to the editor. Therefore, it should have already been submitted for review. You can ask the corresponding author if they have received the email.

May I ask how long this "waiting to send decision to author" status will last? When can I expect to receive the email? This status has been going on for a long time. It has been over a month since I submitted. Does this mean that the review comments will be coming back?
