AUDIENCE'S PERCEIVED EXPECTANCY AND AUTHENTICITY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC PERFORMANCE BY DIGITAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MOBILE APPS

Summary: This study examines the audience's perception of classical music concerts performed by ensembles using digital musical instrument (DMI) mobile apps and tablets. The findings show significant positive correlations between participants' enjoyment of classical music, frequency of attending concerts, and expectancy and authenticity. The interviews also address differences in ensemble and instrumental practices and the capabilities of DMI mobile apps.
