Summary: Zuoyin Garden, a Ming Dynasty garden in Anhui Province, was built by Wang Tingne, a Huizhou merchant. This paper aims to bring academic attention to the cultural heritage of Huizhou gardens through the restoration of Zuoyin Garden. It is also expected to provide design basis and inspiration for the reconstruction of Zuoyin Garden and contribute to the conservation and research of local gardens.

Using social media for preserving the Javanese traditional arts: Adaptation strategy of Sobokartti in the Millenial Era

Summary: This research focuses on the efforts of Sobokartti, a Javanese dance studio established in the early twentieth century, in maintaining the existence of Javanese traditional performing arts. The results show that Sobokartti successfully maintained its existence through adaptive management and innovative training and promotional activities.

Furthermore, the majority of women in the study area have a limited understanding of feminism, considering it foreign and contradictory to cultural norms.

The permanently minority people: Palestinian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, (Attempted) social death and desire to return

Summary: This article argues that the Israeli regime is causing a form of social death for Palestinian refugees by dispossessing them of their lands and denying their existence. It suggests that the Palestinian resistance can serve as an anti-thesis to this social death, using it as fuel for their resistance. The article also explores the relationship between social death and the hope for return, and analyzes the challenges in universalizing solutions to the refugee crisis, specifically for Palestinian refugees in Lebanese and Jordanian camps.

The main questions addressed in this study are how Kate reconstructs the minds of others in her own thoughts and how her mental state is reflected in her narration of traumatic memories and qualia. The article concludes that Kate's internal world is shaped by a combination of collective minds and her own thinking.

Language contextualization in public space in Maluku Province: A landscape linguistics study

Summary: This research utilizes a linguistic landscape approach to examine the contextual use of language in public spaces in Maluku Province, Indonesia. It is a descriptive-qualitative research that aims to provide a detailed and in-depth description and analysis of the language context in public spaces in the region. Data is collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of signboards and information in Ambon City and Buru Island. The qualitative analysis involves theme identification, additional information search, theme grouping, and data interpretation. The findings reveal the use of various languages in Maluku Province, influenced by the location, environment, religion, culture, and media, emphasizing the impact of language on the identity of the local community.

A pragmatic analysis of students' complaints and professors' responses to complaints: A case study of an Egyptian private university

Summary: This study examined how university students complain and how professors respond to their complaints. The results showed that half of the students' complaints were requests for repair, and professors mostly partially accepted the complaints by justifying themselves, suggesting alternatives, and setting conditions for future acceptance. Gender and age did not generally have an influence on the realization of complaint speech acts and responding to complaints.

The study's findings highlight the importance of cooperation, collective memory, and the involvement of social authorities in fostering harmonious socio-cultural life and managing religious diversity in pluralistic societies.

A scientometric study of three decades of machine translation research: Trending issues, hotspot research, and co-citation analysis

Summary: This study aims to analyze machine translation research in Web of Science indexed journals, specifically focusing on research trends, hotspots, and document co-citation analysis. A total of 541 documents published between 1992 and 2022 were retrieved and analyzed using CiteSpace and Bibexcel. Results revealed 11 clusters representing the hotspots of research in machine translation over the past three decades, with a significant focus on implementing neural networks and artificial intelligence to enhance the translation process. The incorporation of human post-editing to refine machine-translated outputs was also observed. Translation studies journals were highly co-cited, and Google translate was the most commonly used machine translation tool.

The study aims to reveal the power hierarchy between human and non-human participants, and how nature elements impact human survival in the fictional context. Through a close reading of six selected extracts, the study demonstrates how the author portrays nature as an effective participant, both as a savior and a threat to the main character's life.
