Summary: The study found that remittances help reduce environmental degradation, export diversification can lower CO2 emissions, and renewable energy contributes to decreasing CO2 emissions. Summary: This study examines the importance of green technology innovation and green financing in achieving sustainable environmental development. The findings demonstrate that green technology innovation and green financing have a significant negative impact on CO2 emissions. Additionally, social globalization moderates the relationship between CO2 emissions and GDP positively, while negatively influencing the relationship between green financing, green technology innovation, and CO2 emissions.

Composite fiscal decentralisation and green innovation: Imperative strategy for institutional reforms and sustainable development in OECD countries

Summary: Improving environmental quality and fiscal management is important for sustainable development. However, little is known about the impact of fiscal decentralisation on environmental quality. This study analyzed data from 32 OECD countries and found that fiscal decentralisation significantly reduces carbon emissions at medium to higher emission levels, while green innovation reduces emissions from lower to medium levels. Institutional reforms promote environmental sustainability across all emission levels.

Influence of growth and urbanization on CO2 emissions: The moderating effect of foreign direct investment on energy use in BRICS

Summary: This study analyzes the relationship between foreign direct investment, economic growth, urbanization, energy use, and carbon emissions in BRICS countries between 1990 and 2014. The results confirm both the environmental Kuznets curve and pollution haven hypotheses, highlighting the moderating effects of foreign direct investment and energy usage on carbon emissions. The study suggests promoting renewable sources and boosting clean foreign industries in host countries.

Green innovation and China's CO2 emissions - the moderating effect of institutional quality

Summary: The study shows that green innovation significantly reduces CO2 emissions in China, especially when institutional quality is high. In the western region, the reduction of CO2 emissions through green innovation increases as institutional quality improves. Green innovation had a greater impact on CO2 emissions reduction in 2013-2017 compared to 2005-2012.

Green technology innovation contributes to economic growth and reduces carbon dioxide emissions, particularly in developed and highly polluted economies.

Multifunctional rural development in China: Pattern, process and mechanism

Linking institutional quality to environmental sustainability

Summary: This study investigates the influence of democracy, autocracy, and globalization on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in developing countries. The findings show that democracy and renewable energy can alleviate environmental pressure, while financial development and globalization increase environmental damage. The interaction between democracy and globalization reduces pollution levels, and the dampening effect of autocracy and globalization has a similar impact on environmental damage. Additionally, an inverted U-shaped environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis is verified across developing countries.
