Summary: Kumquats, a citrus fruit with edible peel, may have pesticide residues that need to be controlled. This study found that alkaline electrolysed water, especially pH 12.5, can effectively remove pesticide residues from the surface of kumquats. A washing duration of 20 minutes yielded the best results.

Summary: This study presents a new liposome-mediated method for highly sensitive photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunoassays by forming a ZIS NSs/SnS2 type-I heterojunction on FTO electrodes. The PEC sensor constructed showed good stability and selectivity for heart-type fatty acid binding protein (h-FP), with a high sensitivity dynamic linear response range of 0.1-1000 pg/mL and a lower detection limit of 55 fg/mL.

Summary: In this study, experiments were conducted to prepare biodiesel from cottonseed oil and blend it with octanol, with the added improvement of thermal and mass transfer characteristics through functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The performance analysis showed that adding octanol and MWCNT nanoparticle can stabilize fuel consumption rate and increase brake thermal efficiency.
